Demo 2.0 is up


Hey everyone, this is it, the demo 2.0 is now available! We also released it on steam too (you can wishlist us)! Since we had extra time to polish it, we used your feedback to improve it !

Note: In theory your previous saves slots should be compatible, you will just see the previous default MC in your old save. Still I recommand to start a new game, as some problems can occurs if you load directly into a scene with a notification. 

New features:

- Custom your MC, customisation will appear in the textbox and in your new save files !

- Achievements, you can now earn 5 achievements, will you catch them all ? ~

- Add the resource chest into the policies screen so you can display/hide your current resources.

- Add a « skip » button in the hub, it skips directly to the next scene even if you have actions remaining. [Note : I do not recommend using it even in story mode as petitions are really important for the story.]

- Add a « cancel » button in the policie screen so you can take a look without consuming actions.

- Add a new register choice (minor spoiler: dealing with the bastard brother). It’s for science. I want to know how many players are evil XD

Bugfix

- Fix typos and remaining oversight

- Fix the « music restart at every line » problem at the end of some scenes bug.

- Now, notifications appear in the English version too (everyone deserves to know when they lose money)

Known bug :

- Music will still restart every time you reach the hub, I am working on this issue, I will patch it in the next release.

- If you switch between french/english during your playthrough, your registered choice at the end, will be displayed in both languages. Unfortunately, it’s not something we can fix as it’s an engine problem.

Just thought I'd leave some feedback on my experience playing this demo. I want to be fair but honest with this, and I'm only speaking of my own experience, so take it for what you will.

I have to begin by saying that the art in this game is absolutely gorgeous, and nice to see our queen is surrounded by so much eye candy! Me likey!

I also like that our MC is confident and firm, however... I didn't feel that much of a connection with her during this demo, mainly because I didn't feel she had much personality besides her ambition, or rather, not much chance to actually show her personality. Maybe once there is more chances to roleplay or see her personality as a person and flesh her out that way, rather then just a ruler, I'll get there? but yeah... I'm really hoping for that because for me (and again, just my opinion), she fell rather flat.

I also didn't feel that much of a connection with either of the male love interests (I didn't play the female route), but again, I think that's simply due to the lack of meaningful interaction with them this early in the game, which is understandable, all things considered. I did like the thing with Alexander and the kite - that was really cute. <3

I really really hope we get to see more of the informal side of these characters in future, including our queen. The human/flawed/funny/cute/awkward/lovely/unique aspects of characters is generally what draws me to them, but I'm not getting much of that yet.

I actually like the Master of Murmurs thus far, too. I'm wondering if there will ever be a DLC or such that allows him to be romanced? Cos he would be a nice addition.

The kingdom management seems pretty decent too. I'll be looking forward to seeing how the stakes are raised the longer our queen sits on the throne, and the greater any opposition becomes.

But yeah. I'm sorry if this isn't the sort of review you wanted, but I did want to be honest about my experience. I do have high hopes about the end result, and really hope that I can connect with these characters in future!

Hello, don't worry everybody is different, it's normal some people are more sensitive to some aspects or not. The demo is the first chapter of the game, it focuses on the MC getting the throne and getting used to her new responsabilities. There will be more casual and cute scene during the game, but those responsabilities are still very there during the whole game. I have try to convey much more of her personality despite her ambition: her pride (both in the good and the bad side), her teasing side, how she is well organised and how she can be manipulative. Some people related to it, other don't, it's okay! Same goes for the love interest, although, one of the "cute" scene, is related to the speciality you choose, so I recommand trying war path for Theo and Faith path for Alexander if you haven't, it gives more glimpse about their personnality! (On the full game it doesn't matter as each love interest eventually get a scene for each speciality, but on the demo, it can make a difference^^)

Also, we are considering a DLC for the Master of Murmurs, but so far we are focusing solely in delivering the game <3

For the next update can you add a place where players can see the achivements they've got/or haven't got? 

I acquired some of the achievements but I accidentally clicked away from the achievement notification. So I couldn't see properly what the achievement I got and I think it would be helpful to have a place, where players can see the achievements they've got. 

Yep, it's a good idea! On steam they are stored on your steam page, but there is nothing for itchio I will add something! 

did you make the nsfw switch a different colour

I will, but not for this version since there is no NSFW it wasn't a development priority :p
